Quality Matters Peer Review
Quality Matters (QM) is a nationally recognized program for review of online courses, with more than 1300 colleges and universities throughout the world participating. The mission of QM is to promote and improve the quality of online education. To accomplish this, courses go through an extensive peer review process which includes General Standards and Specific Review Standards that serve as the benchmarks for evaluation of online and blended courses. The reviewers will provide feedback to the instructor on how to improve the quality of the course to help educators achieve the goal of delivering an accessible, high quality online learning experience.
In collaboration with several QM-trained Wayne State faculty, Office for Teaching and Learning (OTL) consultants are available to review your online course and provide confidential, formative feedback to enhance your course design. To learn more about QM, visit the Quality Matters site. To request a QM peer review of your online course, contact the OTL at (313) 577-0001 or OTL@wayne.edu.
